How foxes yip
Double whammy considering I haven’t blogged in a hot minute.
Don’t know how to describe my writing process and what evinces me to write sometimes. Obvi with recent trend, it’s to be able to have a sort of emotional outlet, but there are other times where music is the culprit. A song can recall the rowdy laughter of an evening with friends. Or a song can take on an aural form of some early scene of my whirring childhood bike and the roads and feeling, just at that once, so boundless. I have this lil trick in my brain; say that I see the leaves changing color, I see time unravel before me, and I can think of music that suits it best. I try to mentally associate that transience with a genre and go hmmmm…perhaps a good lofi bedroom indie pop song, something in the world of Melaina Kol? Maybe. That works for me at least.
(Are you guys noticing a trend here….a good amount of this blog is dedicated to just how much I love music…teehee)
But anyway. This is how this following thingamajig came to be. I think I listened to Age of Consent by New Order, a tried and true favorite of mine, and the song felt like a late night adventure with my goons.
And, what’s pictured is actually a wild coyote in my driveway, not a fox lol.
